Privacy Policy
Effective March 8, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information BarKade handles when you browse the app, sign in, play matches, appear on public profile or leaderboard surfaces, and use membership-backed or AI-related features.
1. Information BarKade collects
- Account and profile information such as email address, account identifiers, display name, avatar URL, and profile preferences.
- Gameplay information such as matches, move history, seat participation, invite codes, standings, ratings, and match outcomes.
- Public-facing profile information such as gamer tag, avatar, match history, ratings, and leaderboard placement where the service exposes those surfaces.
- Membership status supplied by Tech Lab Account when membership-backed access is available.
- AI usage and telemetry such as selected model, usage limits, prompt and response payloads, parsed or fallback moves, token counts, response timing, and cost-related telemetry when AI features are used.
- Technical and security information needed to authenticate sessions, operate the service, troubleshoot failures, and investigate abuse or fraud.
2. How BarKade uses information
BarKade uses information to authenticate users, create and maintain sessions, run matches, enforce game rules, support public profile and leaderboard functionality, personalize preferences, apply membership-backed access and AI limits, maintain service reliability, monitor performance, investigate incidents, and protect the platform from abuse, cheating, fraud, or policy violations.
3. How information is shared
BarKade may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that support authentication, membership status, hosting, database operations, and AI-backed functionality. Information may also be disclosed when needed to comply with law, enforce platform rules, investigate security or fraud issues, or protect the rights, safety, and reliability of the service and its users.
4. Public and player-visible information
Some information is intentionally visible to other players or spectators as part of the multiplayer experience. This may include display name, avatar, ratings, standings, match participants, match results, and match history shown through profile or leaderboard views. Do not put sensitive personal information in profile fields or other surfaces that may be visible to other users.
5. Retention
BarKade retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, preserve account and match state, maintain standings and history, investigate disputes or abuse, enforce platform rules, and meet legal or security obligations. Retention periods may differ based on the type of record and the purpose for which it is maintained.
6. Choices and account controls
Where available in the app, you may update profile fields and sign out of your session. Membership is managed through Tech Lab Account. Some records, including match history, security data, and operational logs, may continue to be retained even if profile details change or access to the service ends.
7. Security
BarKade uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and service data. No method of transmission, storage, or security control is perfect, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. You should protect your email account, avoid sharing sign-in access, and use the service only from trusted devices and networks.
8. Changes to this policy
BarKade may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When that happens, the effective date on this page will be updated and the revised policy will apply going forward.
